Volunteering
There are no qualifications or requirements necessary to volunteer at Mayhew Cabin, just an appreciation of history! Volunteers are needed at every level:
- Board members
- Cleaning and maintaining the museum building
- Grounds maintenance (landscaping/mowing/start a flower garden)
- The A.M.E. Church has fallen into disrepair. Cathleen Briley is looking for volunteers to serve on a committee to oversee the building’s restoration
- Tour guides (we will provide you with the full history of the site)
- Filling in when the docent is absent
- Fundraising
